The rules for using KodaCade, buying games and selling games. Last updated October 24, 2026.

1. About these terms

KodaCade is an online store for Windows PC games made with the help of generative AI. It is run by KodaCay LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“KodaCade”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the store you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use KodaCade. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and make or approve any purchases.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Use your real email address so we can reach you about purchases and refunds.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, commit fraud, or put other players at risk.
  • You can close your account at any time by emailing support@kodacade.com. Games you bought stay tied to your account until it is closed.

3. Buying games

  • Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; KodaCade never sees or stores your card number.
  • When you buy a game you get a personal license to download and play it on your own computers. You don't own the game itself, and you may not resell or share it.
  • Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
  • Sales tax is added where the law requires, and shown before you pay.
  • If a price is shown wrong by mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

4. Downloads and safety

Every game file is scanned for malware on a separate machine and checked by a person before anyone can download it. No scan is perfect, so keep your own antivirus switched on. Games are made by independent developers; KodaCade doesn't make them and can't promise they'll work on every PC.

5. Reviews and community

  • Only players who own a game can review it. Be honest and respectful.
  • No harassment, hate, spam, personal information about others, or illegal content. We may hide reviews or suspend accounts that break this rule.
  • You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a review you let KodaCade show it on the store, for free, for as long as it stays up.

6. Selling games on KodaCade (developers)

  • You must be at least 18 to sell games, and you may sell on behalf of a business only if you are allowed to bind it to these terms.
  • One developer account per person or studio. If we find extra accounts made to get more free listings, we may merge them, charge the publishing fees that were skipped, or remove the listings.
  • Your first published game is free to list. Each additional game has a one-time $9.99 publishing fee after approval.
  • On paid sales you receive 85% of the price (after any refunds) and KodaCade keeps 15%. Payouts are sent through Stripe once you've set up a payout account; Stripe may ask for identity and tax details.
  • If a buyer disputes a payment with their bank (a chargeback), your share of that sale is held until the bank decides. If the bank sides with the buyer, your share for that sale isn't paid. KodaCade pays the bank's dispute fee.
  • Payouts to developers on KodaCade are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (together, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to sell on KodaCade, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may change it from time to time. You agree to give KodaCade accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you allow KodaCade to share it, and information about your sales and payouts, with Stripe.
  • You must have the rights to everything in your game, and your AI disclosure must be accurate and complete. Misleading disclosures can lead to removal.
  • Never upload malware, spyware, cryptominers, cheats for other games, or anything that harms players' computers. We will remove it and may report it.
  • We review every listing and build, and may reject, remove or suspend games that break these terms or the law.
  • You keep ownership of your game. You give KodaCade permission to show your store page, images and videos, and to deliver your game to players.

7. Copyright

Only upload games, images and text you have the right to share. If you believe something on KodaCade infringes your copyright, follow the steps on our copyright page. We remove infringing material when we are properly notified, and we close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

8. Things we can't promise

KodaCade is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, lost data, or problems caused by games made by third-party developers, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. Any dispute that can't be settled by contacting us first will be handled by the courts located in New Jersey, unless the consumer law of the place where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

10. Changes and contact
